[magick-users] GNU barcode + ImageMagick barcode generation question

I'm trying to create a simple barcode. Simple, right?

Here's the syntax I'm using:

    barcode -e UPC -b 016569000047 -u in -g 1.5x.5+0+10 \
       -o code.ps && convert code.ps code.gif

This syntax creates a barcode where the bars are fuzzy
and fail to scan in readers.

If I add a -E (to create encapsulated postscript) then
the bars sharpen. I've yet to try to scan the barcode
after using -E, so maybe this will work.

I'm just wondering if anyone has used GNU barcode with
ImageMagick and any suggestions you might offer.
