Hello Fred,
I never had a problem with converting as is. It's just the result I don't
like. I don't have a color printer. That's why and because of the files size
I want the pictures b/w or at least 256 colors grayscale.
I now how to do so. But I'm still wondering, why the pictures are saved by
convert as 64bit/32bit pictures, which always means big files. If I
"convert" the ps-file with my quite old Paint Shop Pro (from the year 2000)
I can save it as 8bit with a much smaller size. That is what I want with
convert.
I also tried the parameter -define png:bit-depth=8 without any changes at
the file. I alway get the same png. Can you help me with that. I've read the
help text about -define key: several times...
Thanks for your help so far
Alex
