[magick-users] converting to tiff with density set?

I'm using imagemagick to convert from a png to tiff, and ideally I would 
like the density to be set in the resulting tiff.  However, no matter 
what I try in terms of combinations of -density, -units, -strip, and 
other options (that were suggested in various places on the web) the 
tiff still shows up in identify (and gimp, for example) as 72x72.

I know the resolution is just advisory, but it might help some issues 
we're having with printing.

Suggestions?
