convert caan take an image from RGB to CMYK. But now there is a
further requirement. In the CMYK image at no place can the mixture
of the four colors exceed 240%. So for a "rich black" a mixture of
80% C, 80% M, 80% Y and 0 % K would reach that max.
1. When pure black RGB is converted using the -colorspace parameter
is there any K in the resulting mixture?
2. Is there a way to establish the 240% limit in the final product?
3. Is there a means to check on the percentages used in the final
product?
I am assuming an output profile of U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 which
will allow up to 300% ink coverage. Is there perhaps a similar
profile but with 240% limit?
