Would it help to know that we build with Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 without
any problems?  We run the configure script and click on the workspace.
VS 2005 converts the workspace to be conformant and then choose a x64 build.
After that we select Build Solution and it compiles with a few warnings but
no errors.
