[magick-users] opensolaris install

Yes, we downloaded the .tar file you pointed out.

We get a failure when we run
./configure

We realized that it has something to do with the loader  (compiler ld).
We want to use SUNWgcc.
We will be reinstalling OpenSolaris.

Probably at this point, we would like to know if you have a series of
OpenSolaris packages that
we should install to be able to install ImageMagick.  We do not want to
use the Sun Compiler
but gcc.

Our final goal is to run Ruby on Rails.

Did you download
ftp://ftp.imagemagick.org/pub/ImageMagick/ImageMagick-6.4.1-8.tar.gz?

Without knowing what error messages you are receiving we can't help you.
