[magick-users] Convert RGBA

Hi List,

I am trying to make a icon pallete with a black transparency...

So. I have a directory full of my icon images as png's

what I do is

montage -background black -geometry 64x64 (because I want my icon's to 
be 64x64) -tile 8x8 *.png demo-icons.jpg

Then what I try to do is this.

convert -transparent black  demo-icons.jpg demo.rgba

However at this point my rgba file seems to get all screwed up....  Can 
anyone see if I am missing something or doing something fundamentally 
wrong ?

Does my montage output have to be something other then a jpeg.

What the wierdness I am seeing is, when I load an image from the rgba 
file I get all kinds of crisscrossing white lines through my image.

Any help would be much appreciated.
