[magick-users] Creating video snapshots

I have been searching the archives, but my search must be poor, since
I didn't find any answers

Is it possible to take a video (AVI, MPEG, MOV) and convert it to a
series of pictures?

My question is inspired by the "1000 Frames of Hitchcock" website
(http://www.hitchcockwiki.com), but I would also like, if it was
possible to kind a extract certain frames.

So far I have inly found out, that others where asking for QuickTime
support in ImageMagick, but I couldn't conclude if it is done or not.
