| Hi All,
|
| I compiled ImageMagick 6.3.5.
|
| identify -verbose <image-file>
|
| returns wrong information on type, colorspace and depth regardless if the format is bmp, png, tif, psd.
|
| I always get
|
| Type: Bilevel
| Colorspace: Gray
| Depth: 1-bit
|
| when I use an image containing white pixels only.
|
|
| Is this a known issue?

Nope, I say that was an accurate description for a pure white image
of a unknwon or pure data type of image file format.

For image file formats like JPEG, TIFF, PNG however the about should
have given how the image is stored in the image file. But you have not
specified the image file format, or given a small example image.

There was a change in regards to reporting after that release to try
it with the latest release (yesterday, sunday) 6.3.6-2, then if you
are still having a problem, repeat the above WITH a URL of
a small image example image.

Better still do this on the IM discussion forum.
