[magick-users] Saving to a GIF format

Hi,

I am developing a software which provides APIs to convert one image format
to other and saves it to a file.
I am planning to use imagemagick Apis.
My question is about saving to a GIF format as this is a patented one.
Can I use imagemagick apis and allow the user to save an image to Gif file.
Please let me know.
