[magick-users] Unable to open X server on Windows/Exceed

Hello all,

I am having trouble getting ImageMagick to work with an Exceed X server on
Windows Vista.

I can successfully run "xeyes" from the Cygwin distribution.  But I cannot
run display.  The error message I get is

display: unable to open X server `(null)' [No such file or directory].

I have tried setting the environment variable and passing it on the command
line.  I have tried blackcat:0 (the hostname), 192.168.1.199:0,  and
localhost:0.  All cases xeyes works but ImageMagick doesn't.

I have also double checked all my Exceed settings.  Passive mode, allow
connection from any host, etc.

I have had it working on previous computers, but nothing seems to do the
trick on this one.  I would be thankful to anyone who can help me through
this.
