[magick-users] some questions about image smoothing and sharping

hi,

had anyone used the 'xv', which in default smooth the image a little
and i like the effect.  my first question is, if i want to get the
similar effect of the smoothing of xv, how do i do in imagemagick?

another question is, after using smoothing technique to remove noise
in a scaned image, how do i make is a little sharp? or should i do the
sharping operation first?
