[magick-users] Image::Magick memory error message

Hello IM group,

I have an Image Magick program (with Active Perl on XP with 1 GB RAM)
that in every iteration composes one image from four other images
(each 4000x4000 pixel RGB). use diagnostics shows no errors but
after some iterations (about 8) I get the error message

Image::Magick: Memory allocation failed 'No such file or directory'

I found the first part of the message as Error 400 in
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/perl-magick.php
but not the two parts combined.

Can someone give me hints how to identify this problem?
