[magick-users] Compositing RGB file from Three greyscale layers...

Hi all :)

I'm processing FITS file (astronomical picture). These Fits are coloured.
That means they contain 3 layers :  One red, one green , one Blue.

When opening them with The gimp, I have an option (Naxis=3) that allowed a
direct color conversion. On the other hand, it gives me 3 layers.

With convert (
Version: ImageMagick 6.3.2 05/04/07 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2007 ImageMagick Studio LLC)

convert myfitfile.fit myfitconverted.jpg

gives me 3 files :
myfitconverted-0.jpg  myfitconverted-1.jpg  myfitconverted-2.jpg

that contains Red, Blue and green informations.

Does exist a option that could handle this ?
