[magick-users] controlling the amount of noise added to image with Image::addNoise (magick++)

I am using Magick++ at the moment and I'm trying to use Image::addNoise to add
some noise to the image to try some image processing methods on it.

The problem is that image magick adds way too much noise and I can't seem to
find any way to control the amount. Is there some switch somewhere, or is there
another way to control the amout of noise added ? (variance of the noise or
such)
