Hi,

I would like to cut scans of books in two, but I can't manage to find
the right command.

Here is an example: http://88.160.188.126/rig_veda-000.png

$ file rig_veda-000.png
rig_veda-000.png: PNG image data, 9921 x 7015, 1-bit grayscale,
non-interlaced

I would like to get two images of 4960x7015, one for the left page, one
for the right page, keeping the quality of the original, but I only need
1-bit grayscale. I hope my explanations are clear enough.

I would like also to crop the extra margins if that's possible:

Thanks for your help,

Yann
