[magick-users] convert ps->* == completely horrible output

I am trying to use convert from a PostScript file of a CD label
created by cdlabelgen to a raster format (tiff, gif,etc) and the
output is beyond horrible, you can't read the text embedded in the
image as it comes out very pixilated. It prints to a CD fine, nice and
sharp ... any idea what could be the issue? any switches I could try?
(I tried -trim which didn't really help, I didn't see anything inhte
list of options that lept out at me as being the solution)
hm also the top of the CD is chopped off
