I have recently been revamping my image organization scripts, and have
noticed a change in the image hash function. (invoked with identify -format
"%#") I used the function to add a comment to derivative images to identify
the original.

I use cygwin on windows XP, currently Imagemagick 6.4.0

Was the change a result of a bugfix, or unintentional?

Because of how poor I've been about importing my pics, and updating my
imagemagick release, I'm not sure when the change happened. I'm embarassed
to say the last hash I have is from august 2007, and I don't know which
version of imagemagick I was using at the time.

While discussing bugs, there's another one I have some interest in, but have
lost the bug number to. (and google has been unable to reveal to me)
The bug is related to convert having trouble adding comments to images.
Through testing it was revealed that the problem was really related to the
jpeg writing code.

Thank you-
greenup
