We copied your source code into the c:\Program
Files\ImageMagick-6.5.2-9-Q16\Magick++_demos\button.cpp source file
and compiled and ran from the button workspace.  This workspace ensures
all the proper Visual Studio parameters are set.  The results were the
program ran without complaint.  We tried it under Linux as well and again
it executed without any exceptions.
