[Magick-bugs] import -frame doesn't get the window contents

A while ago I asked about import -frame not working any more:

duc.sequere.aut.de.via's workaround is sometimes working for me,
but not consistently. Sometimes it shows portions of the window
as black (as though they'd been covered with a menu or another
window, but they weren't), but I can't reproduce that reliably.

But the other problem is that if I import to png, as in the
example above, I often end up with a png that includes a layer
offset, and some problems have trouble dealing with that.
If I load it in gimp, I get a canvas the right size containing
a layer that's offset so I can't see all of it. "Fit canvas to
layers" cures the problem -- but I never used to need that
extra step to use my PNG screenshots from imagemagick.
