[Magick-bugs] X-server connection from import

Hi,

in an old project we are running ImageMagick 4.2.8 on Digital Unix Version D (V4.0 878 alpha) for Aplha processor.

Now we found that import leaves two connections to the X-server established, when it is executed from another program. The other program uses the "system" call, to execute the import program.

Is this a known problem?
Is there any newer version supporting Dec-Alpha?
What is the best to do?
