any idea when imageMagick will be running again on cygwin?

cygwin is an important unix alternative  for windows users

ImageMagick was hobbled in the Red Hat cygwin distribution when an MIT x11
library was changed or deleted.

Recompiling IM from distribution sources takes a long time, and does not
terminate correctly, the error remains
until a secret .dll file is placed in exactly the right directory.

I have been reporting this bug regularly for the past year, and have spent
hours trying to run it down myself.

Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
