[Magick-bugs] fault in CMYK to RGB

It appears (from googling) that there is an outstanding
bug in CMYK -> RGB colourspace conversion when not using
profiles.
Certainly my results on this test page:
http://www.hutchcolor.com/Targets_&_images_to_go/CMYK_Peeker.hqx
(from http://www.hutchcolor.com/Images_and_targets.html)
are most horrid. The more black(K) an area has in
CMYK space, the whiter it appears in RGB space.
My command is
convert CMYK\ Peeker_10.tif -colorspace RGB v.tif
convert -version
Version: ImageMagick 6.3.2 04/05/07 Q16 file:/usr/share/ImageMagick-6.3.2/doc/index.html
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2007 ImageMagick Studio LLC
I have a machine with version 6.2.5, and *that* gives me the results I want.
I do not wish to incur the CPU costs of using profiles.
Does anyone know the history of this bug, and/or is it scheduled
to be fixed?
