Yes, there seems to be something wrong with configure. I've found a
Makefile.am in wand/, but no Makefile is being generated there.

For now, I've "fixed" the problem by a kind of bootstrapping process:
after recompiling on the same system, libMagick from the first
installation is found and linked to.
