problems installing IM on cygwin

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Try these commands to get ImageMagick working under cygwin:
  • cd ImageMagick-6.2.6
    ./configure --disable-shared
    make clean
    make
    make install

Add --without-perl to your configure command line and try again. If you want to use PerlMagick, you will need a shared version of the ImageMagick library.
