Rotating iOs images (recently fails more often)

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Rotating iOs images (recently fails more often)

Post by Mma71 »

I have an imagemagick job that rotates images and recently I have seen an increase in failed rotations.

The increase seem to only affect images coming from iOs devices.

The code hasn't changed, so I'm thinking maybe a recent iOs update had changed something.

Anyone with similar trouble?
Any ideas?

Thanks

Check the image's meta data and see if there is an EXIF orientation flag. If so, add -auto-orient to your ImageMagick command line.
