Re: Black and White.. different with new version of IM
I understand the change, I'm just wondering how to go back to the previous default with out having to downgrade. This seems like a pretty big change, and I'm seeing a lot of downstream problems caused by this.. It just seems there should be an easier way to set the default colorspace... than having ...

Re: Black and White.. different with new version of IM
Yeah, I do build my own version. So, I guess I'm wondering how to go back to the old behavior. Is there a compile flag?

Adding text to images.. confused..
I've been using IM for a long time to draw text on images, usually in the form: -fill '#ffffff' -pointsize 20 -draw "rotate 45 text 100,100 'This is text'" I've been having trouble with special characters and unicode, so, I thought I could just put the text in a file and access with @filen...

Highlights and Shadows...
I'm trying to reproduce this effect from picasa.
As demo'd in youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beejFNmc_aI#t=1m45s
The highlights increases the brighter colors
the shadows makes darker colors darker..
it seems to do it somewhat evenly.. or should I say proprotionally.

Reducing animated gif file size.. video
I'm hoping to reduce the file size on animated video gifs.. It seems much of the animation optimizations are for when only parts of the image are updated, but I know video is a bigger challenge.. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lwmk4m8tue1qekfz3o1_250.gif What's the best way to optimize a gif like...

Re: Imagemagick VS PHP : Create animated GIF much faster
With OpenMP enabled i've found significant slowness as well. My workaround was to DOWNGRADE a package called libgomp from 4.4 to 4.1
I think that there is just something wrong with the thread scheduling in the newer version.... but, I really don't know.

The Siox library is pretty impressive. Any way to get that in IM or command line?

Wonder how this app does it. It'd be really nice to automatically remove the background.
