Re: Adding border only around filled area

You can use -connected-components to find each individual gray region in the image and get its centroid and then do a flood fill. You can identify the oval since it has the largest area of gray. I suggest thresholding first, then find the oval centroid. Then go back to the original and do your flood...

Re: Silver Efex Effect with Imagemagick?

You can adjust the arguments for -w and -g in my space script to get different effect strengths.

Your links are not going to any images that make sense for what you are describing.

Re: Silver Efex Effect with Imagemagick?

Here is one emulation of local contrast using my space (spatially adaptive contrast enhancement) script. It runs only on Unix-like systems. Input: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/misc_tests/silver_efex/river_boat.png Simple grayscale conversion: convert river_boat.png -colorspace gray river_boat_gray.png...

Re: Silver Efex Effect with Imagemagick?

Please post example input and corresponding desired output images. What is your ImageMagick version and platform? The software you reference has a lot of controls to make different effects. What effect do you actually want? Please be more specific.

Re: Silver Efex Effect with Imagemagick?

It is called -colorspace gray when used with a color image. convert image -colorspace gray result or convert image -grayscale option result See https://imagemagick.org/script/command-line-options.php#intensity for choice of option Or if on a Unix-like system, try my script, color2gray, at my link be...

Re: Converting SVG to Image ignores text

It runs fine for me with IM 7.0.8.66 Q16 Mac OSX. Not sure if the fonts match perfectly, but I do see the text.

Code: Select all

magick -verbose MSVG:test2.svg result.png

Run my command in PHP exec() with -verbose in your command and let us know what error message you get.

What is your ImageMagick version and platform? What are your example input images? Are they opaque or transparent backgrounds?

Re: Multicrop with CMYK tiff

The script is not designed to process CMYK images. Please convert your image to sRGB and then try again.

Re: Converting SVG to Image ignores text

What is your OS and what is your version of ImageMagick and what renderer are you using and its version. For me using ImageMagick 6.9.10.2 Q16 on Mac OSX with Inkscape fails with error. But with the internal MSVG rendered it works fine as

Code: Select all

convert MSVG:test2.svg result.png

Re: howto create a color-coded perspective image from heightmap (heightfield) BMP or PNG?

Snibgo, I believe the second image is the perspective transformation result he wants. The input would be the color coded height image and the height image. The two can be used to create a 3D perspective. I did that years ago, but not with ImageMagick. (See http://www.fmwconcepts.com/fmw/ipt.html) Yo...

Re: howto create a color-coded perspective image from heightmap (heightfield) BMP or PNG?

Sorry, ImageMagick does not have a 3D perspective transformation at this time. However, you can color code the grayscale image.

Re: Problem with removing the background by clipping path

As far as I know, ImageMagick only deals with one clip path at a time. I can confirm that this does not work on IM 7.0.10.2 Q16, but does work in IM 6.9.11.2 . This seems to be a bug. magick rechteck.psd[0] -alpha transparent -clip -alpha opaque +repage result.png However, this does work: magick ide...

Re: Unable to get -subimage-search to work

You need special processing for compare when using transparency. You need to separate the alpha channel from the reference (small) image and use it as a mask on the opaque version of the reference. The command is different also. But it only works in IM 7. See https://imagemagick.org/discourse-server...
