[CLI] evaluate-sequence + fx without clamping?

I have 2 images of greyscale (16bits), and I want to do this formula: (image1_value - image0_value) + 0.5 I tried to do it like that: magick image1.png image2.png -evaluate-sequence subtract -fx "p{i,j} + 0.5" image_result.png but it seems the -evaluate-sequence subtract is clamping, so that when (i...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

fmw42 - Awesome! This is exactly what I've been looking for!
And thanks for also supplying the links in the documentation - I'm definitely gonna read more about it.

Thank you both for taking the time and effort to help me through this, I know it hasn't been clear. Amazing!

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

snibgo - first let me say thanks for sticking with me and helping! to fmw42 as well of course :) Regarding what you just showed - yes and no ^^ What you showed looks fine, and it looks like what I did with 'fx' before (I know they're different, but they look similar). The problem with this way is it...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

"You don't show your commands, so I can't comment on them." As said, I did what you said manually without any commands, to see the results. Since I'm not an expert in imagemagick it's easier for me to do them manually (if possible). so I do it manually initially to see how it would look, and once I ...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

I tried to do what you said manually to see how it would look like, I think I'm missing something since it doesn't really look good. I took 2 images of 512x512 with gradient from top left to bottom right, and put them together to a 1024x512 image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CuAWPcf5zU8MyJvWj-t...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

snibgo - Not really. I have 2 images of 512x512 each, and I want to put them horizontally and make the transition between them look smooth. I know it's not 100% clear, which is why I gave the idea of pixel left/pixel right. Doing it with fx would be something like: -fx "(p[-1, 0] + p[1, 0]) / 2" How...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

fmw42 - Great about the %, didn't know that. I didn't understand the part about the "When you crop with offsets, you only get one resulting image, not two. So you need to do two crops, one for each part" I'm looking for a single part that's from 412p to 612px, not 2 parts.. or am I confusing somethi...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

fmw42 - Cool, and thanks again :) I have more questions but I can see I'm starting to get off topic; I'm gonna ask them, but let me know if I should create another post for them! I tried playing with it and do something a bit different (ImageMagick is so cool! ^^): take 2 pictures of same size, comb...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

fmw42 - You're right. Not sure what exactly was the problem, but I ran it again and it's perfect - thanks! :) Also thanks for the information regarding grad and crop and the links! I have an extra question regarding the evaluate-sequence flag. Documentation says it operates over a sequence of images...

Re: [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

Thank you both for the quick response! I apologize to both of you, you're right - I mistakenly calculated half of 150 instead of half of 300. The columns numbers were supposed to be 149 and 150. fmw42 - you were right in your explanation - "the column to the left of the split and the column to the r...

[Solved] [CLI] Slice image to 2 + copy shared edge?

I have an image with size 300x150, and I want to cut it to 2 images exactly in the middle: 150x150 and 150x150 (of course). In addition, I also want the 2 files at the end to share the same vertical line of pixels. That is, the right-most vertical line of pixels on the 1st file should match the left...
