Re: create gif animation by scrolling a big image

Yes, that's how it works. Adjust the expression to suit, eg instead of 9, use 10 or 9.5 or whatever. "t" is the index of the image in the list, so has the value 0, 1, 2, ... 49. See https://www.imagemagick.org/script/fx.php EDIT: See also Animation with SRT which uses "-distort SRT" to give smoother...

Re: create gif animation by scrolling a big image

How about this Windows BAT script:

Code: Select all

magick ^
  one-to-ten.png ^
  -duplicate 49 ^
  -crop 50x50+%%[fx:450-t*9]+0 +repage ^
  one-to-ten_1.gif

Re: create gif animation by scrolling a big image

The question is vague. How many frames should the output contain? Ten, or 450, or some other number? How large should each output frame be? 50x50 or some other size?

Re: How to get color edges when using -fill?

There are many possibilities. For example, using "-edge", bash script: convert \ face1.png \ \( +clone \ -alpha off \ -edge 1 \ -fill White +opaque Black \ -transparent Black \ +write e.png \ +write mpr:EDGES \ \) \ -channel RGB -fill Black -colorize 100 +channel \ -blur 1x8 -background white -layer...

Re: Get all pixel RGB values

For v7, I suggest you use "magick", not "convert" (and not "magick convert").

The txt: format gives you all the pixels:

Code: Select all

magick in.bmp txt:out.txt

Re: Changing Image resolution

What version of IM, on what platform?

What are your input and output formats?

You might also include "-units".

Re: convert from svg to pdf size incorrect

@hairykid: Are you measuring the size made by a printer? If so, I suggest you use Adobe Acrobat Reader, menu File, Properties. What does it say the "Page Size" is? If that is what you want, the problem is downstream, eg in printer settings.

Re: convert from svg to pdf size incorrect

For v7, I suggest you use "magick", not "convert".

With IM v7.0.8-64:

Code: Select all

magick preview-640617540-fLJb3I.svg -density 300 -resize 2598x2480 pdf:p.pdf
Adobe Acrobat Reader v2020.006.20042 says p.pdf is 8.66 x 8.27 inches.

Have you tried "-layers optimize" etc? See https://www.imagemagick.org/script/comm ... php#layers

Your statement is too vague for us to offer advice.

If you have a specific problem, please include enough for us to reproduce the problem. This must include the input file(s), the command, and what happens that you don't like.

Re: ccitt files from pdfimages

It has 11841 bytes, or 94728 bits. If the width is 3450 pixels then the height would be about 27 pixels, which I suppose is wrong. I conclude that alex-038.ccitt is compressed, and IM's raw reader can't read it.

Re: PSD to png - black background

You have not shown your complete code. Do you read one image or the entire tiff file, which is two images? The code you show doesn't write any files.

Re: PSD to png - black background

That tif file contains two images, with different sizes. Only the second image has an alpha channel.

Please show your complete code. Perhaps you are reading both images, and flattening them together.

Re: ccitt files from pdfimages

@muccigrosso: Can you link to a sample PDF with embedded CCITT image?

Perhaps the binary ccitt file can be read with IM's raw facility, if you supply the image "-size" and "-depth".
